Celtic Knots are generally
formed of an endless line signifying the binding of the soul to
the world and the spiritual progress of humanity through endless
lives in search of the divine source, the sacred center. Some
people view interlacing knots as a representation of the cosmic
loom, symbolizing the existence of the spirit through time, and
space, and lifetimes. There was never, and will never be, a
time when we did not or do not exist in some form. Knotwork
was a significant presence in Celtic art and religion. Many
people use these as meditative symbols.
