Gullskoen
Rune Ring
This ring was inspired by a gold ring from Greymoor Hill, near
Carlisle. It is from the 9th or 10th century AD, and has an untranslatable runic
inscription. It appears to have
had
a magical or protective function, and two
other rings with similar inscriptions survive, illustrating the belief in the
protective properties of these rings.
Gullskoen Runes are a set of Medieval runes that resemble the
original runes. This ring can be ordered with almost any short saying that has
meaning for you, or choose from some of mine. The width of this ring varies
with the length of the text and the size of the runes. I will be happy to mail a
paper pattern, or work with you to try to meet your needs. The ring shown is
approximately 7mm in ladies sizes and 9mm in men's sizes.
The ring shown says "Yours Beneath the Oaks".
The Rune Ring, in 14-karat gold, is priced at $950 in ladies
sizes and $1050 in men's sizes.
