The Heirloom Collection is hand fabricated, hand-pierced, and hand-engraved. Each is a labor of love executed solely by the Artist. I hope that you will treasure it, and pass it down in your family. Every one is part of a limited edition of no more than 100 and is numbered and stamped with both the Zephyrus logo and my personal mark, a seven pointed star. These works can be ordered on a custom basis. Because of the labor intensive process to create these works, wait times run from 1-6 months. The Seeker Celtic Pin

Representations of human male figures with interlacing limbs, bodies, hair, top knots and beards are used to decorate the Book of Kells and other Celtic manuscripts. They, and their intricately patterned clothing, helped inspire this piece. The Seeker Pin represents an androgynous figure searching through the darkness and mysteries of life. The fabric pattern is entirely hand engraved, and the 14-karat gold lantern detaches and can be worn separately on a gold chain. The lantern is set with a pyramid shaped amethyst (shown) or peridot.

The Moon-Horned Bull Celtic Pendant/Brooch

The Celts believed in the ‘oneness’ of nature and that nature had the ability to transform itself on all levels of existence. White bulls embodied the ancestral gods, and were used as sacrificial animals in many Celtic rites. The hide of a sacrificial white bull was used in divination. Celtic culture gave great importance to the bull, which in its solar aspect was associated with male energies, horses, stags and swans.

The Moon-Horned Bull Celtic Pendant combines the male energy of the bull image with the female energy of the moon, which is formed by the bull's horns. The Dove Celtic Pin

The Celts believed in the ‘oneness’ of nature and that nature had the ability to transform itself on all levels of existence. The shapes of their zoomorphic designs signified this belief and also their understanding of the seasonal and evolutionary changes of all creatures. Birds were thought to be spirits of prophesy.

This design was drawn from the fill of a large illuminated letter in the Book of Kells. The Dove Pin is a limited edition of 150. It measures 2 1/2 inches in height, by 1 1/4 inches in width. $150 in Sterling Silver.

The Interlace Celtic Cross

Celtic Knots are generally formed of an endless line signifying the binding of the soul to the world and the spiritual progress of humanity through endless lives in search of the divine source, the sacred center. Some people view interlacing knots as a representation of the cosmic loom, symbolizing the existence of the spirit through time, and space, and lifetimes. There was never, and will never be, a time when we did not or do not exist in some form. Knotwork was a significant presence in Celtic art and religion. Many people use these as meditative symbols.

The Oak Tree Celtic Pendant

The ancient Celts envisioned the cosmos in form of a great tree. The roots were deep in the earth and branches stretched to the heavens. It is the symbol of Balance and Harmony. The Oak Tree represented the seventh month of the Celtic calendar (May). It is associated with all positive purposes. It represented fidelity, strength, and endurance. It was considered a doorway to the mysteries by the Druids.

The Stag Celtic Pendant

Stags were often seen as the incarnate form of the woodland Gods such as Cernunnos and were associated with fertility, abundance, and regeneration. White stags were considered to be from the Otherworld and their appearance always heralded some profound change. The King Stag was the male form in the Great Marriage with the Goddess for the renewal of the land.

The Twisted Man Celtic Pin

The Twisted Man Pin is a good example of the anthropomorphic designs used in the Book of Kells and carved stones throughout the Celtic world. Although he is neither a beard-puller nor a hair-puller, the interlacing of the hair with the twisting body is a traditional form.

The Fleur Celtic Pin

The Trinity Celtic Brooch

The Trinity Brooch is drawn from a design in the Book of Kells. It is markedly different from most of the anthropomorphic designs of the time. Most groups of interlacing figures are grouped in twos or fours; a group of three anthropomorphic figures is somewhat unusual. It is thought that this may have been a representation of the trinity expressed in Christianity. In the old Earth religions, the forms of the Goddess were expressed as a Trinity as well. This circle design was taken from a faceplate in the Book of Durrow. A faceplate was a heavily decorated page used to separate the gospels or sections of a manuscript. The Raven Celtic Brooch

Birds were regarded as spirits of prophesy. The Raven or Crow was an aspect of the Morrighan, the Celtic goddess of war, who incorporated the three goddesses Neman, Macha and Morrigu in a single form, that of a Royston or hoodie crow. It is said that a crow perching on a house is one of the forms taken by the Banshee.

The Spiral Number One Celtic Brooch

The spiral is the natural form of unfolding growth. In every culture, past and present, it has become a symbol of eternal life. Surrounded by water as they worked, the Celtic monks were reminded constantly of the flow and movement of the cosmos. The whorls they painted represented the continuous creation and dissolution of the world, the dark into light, winter into summer, the contraction and expansion of the sun. This polarity also formed the basis of the Celtic religion. Spirals unfold clockwise from the counterclockwise source and represent the inner and outer evolution of the spirit. Three was a very important number to the Celts, and the three rayed spiral known as the triskelion was widely used.
